Drafts Person / Project Designer

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Draftsperson / Project Designer to their established Drawing Office team. The Opportunity You will join a collaborative in-house design team consisting of a Design Director, Design Manager, and several Project Designers, working closely with Buying, Commercial, and Contracts teams in a truly team-focused environment. This role would suit someone with 5+ years’ experience in roofing and cladding who is comfortable both collaborating with others and working independently to deliver high-quality design packages. Key Responsibilities · Produce 2D GA and detailed construction drawings · Prepare material schedules and fabrication drawings · Attend and contribute to design team meetings (including minute taking) · Attend internal handover and design review meetings · Carry out occasional site visits · Plan and manage workload to meet project deadlines · Proactively gather all required technical information · Follow established company procedures and quality standards Skills & Experience Required · Strong organisational skills and self-motivation · Solid technical knowledge of roofing and cladding systems, including: * Single-ply * Hot melt * Standing seam * Built-up systems * Composite roofing and wall systems · Rainscreen façade experience (desirable) · Proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and Microsoft Office · Exposure to 3D modelling (AutoCAD 3D, Revit, Rhino, or similar) is advantageous What’s in it for You? · Competitive salary: · 25 days holiday + bank holidays · Company pension scheme · Free on-site parking · Early finish every Friday (2pm!) · Annual bonus scheme · Regular team-building events · A friendly, close-knit team where your contribution is genuinely valued If you’re looking to join a stable, growing contractor where you can develop your career and be part of a supportive, high-performing team — this could be the perfect next step
