Internal Sales Administrator Unitech Engineering Ltd RAF-4202

Unitech Engineering Ltd, based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, is looking to recruit an ambitious and proactive Internal Sales Administrator to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is energetic, confident, organised, and motivated by building customer relationships and generating new business opportunities.

We design and manufacture bespoke stainless steel and aluminium equipment for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and other hygiene-critical industries across the UK and internationally. No two projects are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role within a fast-paced engineering environment.

This position would suit candidates with previous experience in:

Internal Sales

Sales Support

Business Development

Sales Coordination

Customer Account Management

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Thursday - 08:30 17:00

Fridays- 08.30 14:00

The Role

Reporting directly to one of the Directors, you will play a key role in supporting sales growth by identifying new opportunities, developing customer relationships, and supporting the wider sales team.

You will work closely with Area Sales Managers and internal departments to help deliver a first-class customer experience from initial enquiry through to quotation and order processing.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify potential customers using tools such as Google, LinkedIn, and industry platforms.

Proactively contact prospective customers via phone and email to introduce Unitech Engineering, Group companies and generate opportunities.

Build and develop new customer accounts and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

Respond to enquiries and follow up quotations in a professional and timely manner.

Maintain and update CRM systems and customer databases.

Produce quotations and assist with sales order processing.

Arrange customer appointments and support Area Sales Managers with regional sales activity.

Support marketing initiatives including exhibitions, product launches, email campaigns, and promotional activity.

Assist with general day-to-day sales and business development activities.

Contribute positively towards achieving company sales targets and growth objectives.

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, enthusiastic, and highly organised, with a positive approach to customer engagement.

Essential:

Previous experience in a sales support, internal sales, telesales, or business development role.

Confident communication skills both over the phone and via email.

Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Experience using CRM systems.

Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.

Self-motivated with a proactive and positive attitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.

Experience within food or pharmaceutical manufacturing

Experience supporting external sales teams.

Familiarity with technical quotations or engineered products.
