Contract Manager (Development Opportunity) - Pumped Hydro Power StationAt ENGIE, we are extending the life of one of the UK's most iconic energy assets. Dinorwig Power Station in North Wales is a 1.8 GW pumped hydro facility that plays a vital role in balancing the grid.We are seeking a Contract Manager to join our site-based Project Team and support the delivery of the largest capital investment programme in First Hydro's history. This role would suit either an early careers Contract Manager or an engineering graduate/professional with some project, commercial or contract support experience who is looking to build a career in contract management. You'll be part of a major infrastructure project that is playing a key role in supporting the UK's energy transition.What you'll be doingWorking as part of a collaborative project team, you will support the management and administration of key contracts relating to the Dinorwig Station Replanting and Generator Motor Transformer projects.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the Project Team on contractual and commercial matters during project delivery.Assisting with the management of contractor claims, variations and contractual queries.Taking part in discussions and negotiations with contractors and suppliers.Supporting payment processes and helping ensure contract requirements are met.Monitoring contractual compliance and highlighting potential risks or issues.Assisting with contract reporting, budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.Contributing to risk reviews and identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes.Building effective relationships with colleagues across engineering, procurement, legal, finance, operations and maintenance teams.What we're looking forAn interest in contract management, commercial management, project support, quantity surveying or a related discipline.  Some experience in these areas is desirable but not essential.Experience gained within engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities or industrial environments would be beneficial.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.Experience or knowledge of power generation or major infrastructure projects would be beneficial but is not essential.Why join us?This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a nationally significant energy project while working alongside experienced engineering, commercial and project professionals.
