Refrigeration & HVAC Engineer Monday Friday / 8am 5pm £19.91 per hour (DOE) Aldridge WS9 Temporary Permanent We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration & HVAC Engineer to take ownership of all refrigeration and HVAC plants across our site.

You will be responsible for maintaining cold chain integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance and keeping critical systems operating safely, efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs to minimise downtime.
Specify, install, commission and test new or modified plant and equipment.
Maintain F-Gas compliance, including leak checks, refrigerant records and gas handling.
Own and maintain the site F-Gas register.
Monitor and maintain cold chain integrity and temperature compliance records.
Support food safety and audit requirements, including BRC standards.
Act as the site's technical authority for refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Manage plant documentation, service records and asset history.
Support wider maintenance and project activities when required.
What Were Looking For Essential: F-Gas Category 1 certification.
Extensive experience maintaining commercial or industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience managing PPM schedules, F-Gas records and cold chain monitoring.
Knowledge of refrigeration systems including cold stores, blast chillers, glycol systems, AHUs and air conditioning.
Excellent record-keeping and computer literacy, including maintenance management systems.
Desirable: HVAC or air conditioning qualification (e.g.
City & Guilds 2079).
Electrical Installation Level 2 qualification.
Experience within food manufacturing or chilled environments.
Knowledge of BRC and food safety audit requirements.
Experience using monitoring systems such as xweb.
Additional Information: This role requires flexibility to work in challenging environments, including hot and cold conditions, working at height and lone working. xwzovoh
Availability for emergency callouts and occasional weekend work is essential.
