An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Assistant Manager to join a growing food distribution business in Dartford.

Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, you'll help lead a busy warehouse operation, manage a small team, and ensure the smooth movement of ambient, chilled, and frozen products.

What's the job?

You'll support the Warehouse Manager in keeping daily operations running efficiently, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities include:
Leading and motivating a small warehouse team
Overseeing goods-in, stock control, picking, packing, and dispatch
Maintaining stock accuracy, rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and warehouse organisation
Ensuring high standards of food safety, housekeeping, and Health & Safety
Taking charge of operations when the Warehouse Manager is absent
Getting hands-on with warehouse activities during busy periods

What do I need?
We're looking for a proactive warehouse professional who can lead a team, make decisions, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. xwzovoh

You'll ideally have:
Experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, or FMCG warehousing
Previous warehouse supervisory or team leadership experience
Strong stock control, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Experience with warehouse management systems (SAP/WMS advantageous)
A hands-on approach with the confidence to take responsibility
A full UK Driving Licence
Flexibility to support early starts, late finishes, weekends, or delivery cover when required
