HGV Class 2 Lorry Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving flatbed and van lorries, and possess a strong understanding of mechanical operations. This role involves transporting heavy goods safely, ensuring loads are tied down safely.

Duties
Operate flatbed lorries for the delivery of steel kits and welded assemblies to and from sub-contractors
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order.
Load and unload lorry using forklift
Communicate effectively with yard men regarding deliveries and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
Keep vehicle clean and maintained
Use the van for smaller deliveries

Qualifications
Class 2 driving licence
Driver CPC
Digital tachograph card
Experience as a Class 2 driver
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work varied hours
