We are seeking a reliable and professional Gas Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering gas cylinders to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate service. This role requires a clean driving record, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting our customers with essential gas supplies.
Duties
Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver gas cylinders to designated locations.
Load and secure gas cylinders onto the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and safety precautions are followed.
Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduling requirements while maintaining safety protocols.
Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or documentation upon completion of each delivery.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations related to the transportation of hazardous materials.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
Requirements
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience involving flatbed vehicles.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles; clean driving record essential.
ADR+CPC registered preferred.
Experience with flatbed lorries and knowledge of safe loading/unloading procedures.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws.
Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cylinders and securing loads safely.
Good communication skills for liaising with dispatchers and customers.
