You're a senior electrical engineer within reach of Cambridge

You are a senior electrical engineer within reach of Cambridge, and the usual options are small local schemes or a London season ticket. This seat is the third option.

It belongs to the building services team of a global engineering consultancy with a genuine Cambridge base. The projects span labs, science campuses, education and civic work, with design standards set nationally, so the quality of the work does not shrink with the postcode.

At senior level you lead electrical design on your own schemes: concept to detail, specifications, client meetings, and the site presence to see your decisions built. The discipline leads nearby offer a second opinion rather than a sign off queue, and the wider firm holds your next three roles without requiring a move.

The Cambridge project list reads differently from most regional offices: laboratories with air change requirements that drive the electrical strategy, research buildings with resilience needs closer to healthcare than offices, and education clients who build for fifty year horizons. The work asks more of you, and pays you back in kind.

Hybrid working is established here too, so the role fits around life rather than the other way round, and the office is reachable from most of Cambridgeshire without a fight.

If your current employer treats Cambridge as a satellite, this one treats it as a hub. Salary is between £47,000 and £60,000.

Send a CV or ask about the project list. It sells itself.
