Paying up to £80k

The ideal candidate would have:
- Minimum five years' experience within consultancy or engineering
- At least three years' experience assessing external wall systems, inspecting façade construction or overseeing façade installation works
- Demonstrable experience undertaking FRAEWs in accordance with PAS 9980
- Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, fire safety measures and building design principles
- Experience carrying out construction inspections and façade construction oversight
- Experience reviewing design, engineering and construction documentation
- Knowledge of façade fire behaviour, material performance and remedial design principles
- Experience working with high-risk buildings of 18 metres or seven storeys and above
- Knowledge of Building Safety Regulator Gateway processes and Golden Thread requirements
- Excellent report-writing and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications:
- Degree in Building Surveying, Engineering, Façade Engineering, Fire Engineering or a related discipline
- Membership or Associate Membership of a relevant professional institution such as RICS, IFE, CABE, IFSM, CIBSE or SFE
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Façade Consultant to join a specialist façade and fire consultancy team.
The role involves providing investigation, technical due diligence, design review, construction oversight and compliance services, with a significant focus on the assessment of external wall systems and completion of Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) in accordance with PAS 9980.
You will undertake the FRAEW process from site investigation through to final report delivery, including intrusive investigations, material sampling, assessment of façade and cladding systems and preparation of detailed technical reports.
You will work closely with fire engineers, project managers, contractors, cost consultants and clients, providing technical advice on external wall systems, fire safety and regulatory compliance.
The role will also involve overseeing façade remediation and construction works, carrying out technical audits and design reviews, assessing tenders and RFIs, and supporting Building Safety Regulator Gateway applications.
Opportunities are listed across London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, with travel to project sites required.
