The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Business Analyst or Product Analyst looking to work on complex, high-impact programmes within the Defence and National Security sector?
We're seeking talented analysts to join multidisciplinary teams delivering innovative digital products and services that support critical government and security operations. This is an opportunity to work alongside Product Owners, User Researchers, Designers, Architects and Engineers to solve challenging problems and deliver meaningful outcomes for end users.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of an agile product team, you'll play a key role in shaping, defining and delivering user-centred digital solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Working closely with Product Owners, users and stakeholders to define product vision, requirements and measurable outcomes.
Analysing current user journeys, business processes and system capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement.
Mapping end-to-end user flows, business processes and system interactions.
Translating user needs and business requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
Supporting backlog management and prioritisation to maximise value delivery.
Collaborating with design and engineering teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements.
Supporting testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet user needs and business objectives.
Using data and insights to inform product decisions, prioritisation and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for individuals who are naturally curious, collaborative and comfortable working in complex environments.
Essential Experience
Experience working as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst within agile delivery teams.
Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation skills.
Proven ability to translate user needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and actionable product requirements.
Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence or GitLab.
Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in fast-paced delivery environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
Defence, National Security or Central Government project experience.
Process modelling experience (BPMN or similar).
Experience working within multidisciplinary digital product teams.
Knowledge of user-centred design principles and digital service delivery.
