The Role

An established offshore wind developer is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support the delivery of a new-build Service Operation Vessel (SOV) on a contract basis.

This is a developer/client-side role requiring proven experience in SOV new-build procurement, working with shipyards, OEMs and specialist marine suppliers.

You will work closely with project, engineering, commercial and marine teams to develop procurement strategies, manage key packages and ensure delivery against programme, budget and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across the SOV new-build programme.
• Manage tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award for key vessel packages.
• Develop and manage procurement strategies, schedules and supplier relationships.
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure procurement aligns with vessel design and build requirements.
• Manage long-lead and critical-path equipment.
• Lead commercial negotiations with shipyards, OEMs and marine suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, programme, costs and procurement risks.
• Support contract and supplier management throughout vessel construction.
• Identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.

Experience Required

• Strong procurement experience within offshore wind, marine or offshore energy.
• SOV new-build procurement experience is essential.
• Previous developer/owner-side experience highly desirable.
• Experience working with shipyards, OEMs and specialist marine suppliers.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract-management skills.
• Good understanding of SOV construction, vessel systems and the offshore wind supply chain. xwzovoh
