Logistics Assistant

Location: Fordingbridge Salary: Circa £26K dependent on experience Hours: 8.00am – 4.30pm; Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch Benefits: 22 days holiday pa + bank holidays, Free parking, Pension Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working with a well-established and reputable company based in Fordingbridge, Hampshire who are now looking for a Logistics Assistant to work within their warehouse. This is a full-time role to commence with immediate effect. Candidates who have proven experience working within logistics will be highly regarded. The successful Logistics Assistant will have worked in a warehouse or distribution environment previously. Please note: If you drive and have your own transport or live within walking distance, this would be advantageous The successful Logistics Assistant will: - * Have a background within logistics and distribution, at least 1 years’ experience * Have proven experience working within a warehouse environment * Be proficient with IT systems * Possess good data entry skills * Be a reliable and dedicated individual * Have excellent attention to detail * Good communication skills * Be a team player Responsibilities for the Logistics Assistant: - * Booking shipments with couriers and working with the warehouse to get an understanding of the shipment sizes to plan transportation accordingly * Preparing shipment paperwork * Managing deliveries * Liaising with the warehouse team daily * Assisting the warehouse with any other duties as required
