VAT & Indirect Tax Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced VAT and Indirect Tax professional to join a growing independent tax advisory firm in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an established and expanding specialist team, working on a broad range of technically interesting VAT advisory and compliance assignments for clients across multiple sectors. The firm is open to candidates at Assistant Manager or Manager level, depending on experience, and offers an excellent platform for someone looking to develop their technical expertise and progress within a specialist advisory environment.

• Deliver VAT advisory and compliance services to a varied portfolio of clients across different industries.
• Provide technical advice on complex VAT matters, identifying risks, opportunities and commercially practical solutions.
• Support transaction-related VAT assignments, including acquisitions, disposals, tax due diligence, restructuring and refinancing.
• Advise on property-related VAT matters, including commercial and residential property transactions, options to tax and VAT recovery.
• Assist clients with partial exemption calculations, methodologies, input tax recovery and Capital Goods Scheme considerations.
