mechanically minded technician
with some fault-finding skills, looking to join one of the UK's leading independent manufacturers of industrial weighing and inspection equipment? Do you want to work for a growing business that offers specialist product training, the opportunity to travel internationally with generous allowances, personal use of your company van, and excellent opportunities to progress This company has over 30 years of experience in the weighing industry, this business specialises in the supply, installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of road and rail weighing equipment. Serving customers across the UK and internationally, it offers a comprehensive range of weighing solutions backed by experienced engineers and a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer service. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a mechanically minded technician to join their field service team. This autonomous role will involve servicing, fault finding, maintenance, installation and commissioning of industrial weighing systems and associated equipment at customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional international travel to support overseas projects. This position would suit a Multi-Skilled Engineer who enjoys working hard, solving technical problems and building strong customer relationships while developing specialist knowledge within a growing engineering business.
The Role:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and calibration of industrial weighing equipment Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and electromechanical faults at customer sites Install, commission and test new weighing systems and associated equipment Ensure all work is completed in accordance with UKAS and ISO9001 quality standards Provide first-class technical support and customer service Travel throughout the UK with occasional international travel (travel allowances provided) Complete service reports and documentation accurately
The Person:
Background in a mechanical environment, manufacturing setting or similar Some electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience Full UK Driving Licence Happy to travel extensively across the UK with occasional international travel Reference:
