Our client is looking for a Quality Inspector with a mechanical engineering background to join their long established company on an ongoing temporary basis!!

An experienced mechanical inspector who has a good understanding of mechanical principles, to inspect internal and external components and assemblies.

THIS PERSON MUST HAVE INSPECTION EXPERIENCE OF MACHINED PARTS, FABRICATIONS AND WELDS.

• Inspect all necessary components made internally and externally ensuring they have been manufactured to the correct level of quality, including fabrications, machined parts and purchased components
• Final inspection of machines
• Document quality issues via company non-conformance system, quarantine non-conforming parts, implement corrective and preventative actions and track cost of quality
• Manage non-conformance system, including validation of NC's entered by others and ensuring NC's are closed out satisfactorily
• Assist with the review of suppliers
• Complete inspection reports for critical components
• Ensure that spare parts are inspected without impacting the part lead time
