Service Manager Role Overview Gwynedd Forklifts is looking for a motivated and organised Parts Controller to join our busy Service & Parts team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a parts department who is looking to take ownership of the parts function within a growing and successful business. The role will provide parts support to the workshop, field engineers, and wider business. Responsibilities include sourcing, procuring, and distributing parts, raising purchase orders, receiving goods, maintaining stock levels, and organising the stores operation. Full training and support will be provided. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming parts enquiries by telephone and email. Liaise with engineers to identify and source parts required for jobs. Forecast future parts requirements and maintain appropriate stock levels. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Work closely with managers to align inventory levels with operational demand. Manage incoming and outgoing emails, ensuring timely responses. Provide general support to the Service & Parts department. Process delivery notes, purchase orders, and supplier invoices. Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records. Receive, check, store, and distribute parts efficiently. Ensure the parts store is organised, clean, and well maintained. Skills & Experience Strong organisational and administrative skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good written and verbal communication skills. Confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Professional and courteous telephone manner. Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Previous experience in a parts, stores, inventory, or service environment would be advantageous. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
