(Property)ComplianceManager-StrategicPropertyTeamComplianceManager ComplianceManagerThispostisforafixedperiodtocoveraspecialComplianceProjecttoensuretheCouncilspropertyestateisfullycompliantandanyrequiredremedialsarecompletedwhichwillenablethepermanentComplianceTeamtomanagetheestateeffectivelyasbusinessasusualoncecompleted. ThisroleispartofaspecialistunitwithintheFacilitiesManagement(FM)functionbuttheprojectteamwillalsobesupportedbytwoprojectspecificLawyerswhowillberesponsibleforreviewingallpropertyagreementstoidentifywheretheCouncilholdsresponsibilityforstatutorycompliancematters. ComplianceManagerThepostholder'sprimaryresponsibilitywillbeundertakingsiteinspectionstoensuretheCouncilisdischargingitsstatutorycomplianceduties,identifyinganyareaswhereitisnotandrectifyingthesewithourthirdpartycontractors,aswellasmanagingcontractorstoundertakeanyremedialactionrequired,andthenupdatingthecompliancetrackeraccordingly. Thepostholderwillalsobeinvolvedinreviewingcompliancecertificatesfromcontractorsandidentifyingandactioninganyremedialsrequired. Thepostholdermusthaveexceptionalattentiontodetail,comprehensiveknowledgeofpropertyrelatedstatutorycomplianceobligations,asuitablelevelofbuildingpathologyandM&Esystemknowledgetoenablethepostholdertoidentifywhatcomplianceworksarerequiredandrelevanttoeachspecificproperty,aswellasprojectmanagementskillstoensurecontractorskeepontopofworkidentifiedasbeingrequired. ComplianceManagerThispostwillformpartofaspecialistprojectteam,andworkintandemwiththeCouncilspermanentComplianceTeamwhoensuretheongoingcyclicaltesting,documentation,anddaytodayoperationsaredischarged. PleasenotethatalthoughtheprimarybaseforthisroleistheCouncil'smainCivicCentrethispositionwillrequirethepostholdertospendsignificanttimetravellingtositestoundertakeinspectionsacrosstheBoroughwherepublictransportoptionsareoftenlimited.
