You will lead high-value sourcing initiatives, develop innovative category strategies and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers to deliver sustainable business value. As Senior Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing procurement strategies across a critical equipment portfolio. You will be responsible for managing key supplier relationships, leading sourcing activities and ensuring commercial arrangements deliver long-term value, innovation and operational performance. If you are a strategic procurement professional who thrives on solving complex commercial challenges and driving continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.Key responsibilities:Developing and delivering category strategies that leverage market insight, emerging technologies and procurement best practice.Leading end-to-end sourcing activities, from market engagement and commercial analysis through to contract award and implementation.Managing procurement pipelines, priorities, risks and opportunities across a diverse portfolio.Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives.Providing expert commercial advice on sourcing strategies, supplier selection, contracting approaches and risk management.Negotiating and implementing commercial agreements that deliver value for money and operational resilience.Managing strategic supplier relationships and performance frameworks to drive innovation, continuous improvement and risk mitigation.Supporting and developing colleagues while promoting procurement excellence and a collaborative culture.Skills and experience required: Proven experience developing and implementing category strategies and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior leaders effectively.Experience leading complex sourcing projects, commercial evaluations and negotiations within high-value spend categories.Demonstrable success managing supplier performance, governance and strategic partnerships.Strong commercial acumen and experience identifying and managing commercial, operational and supplier risk.Ability to utilise market intelligence and industry insight to identify opportunities and drive innovation.Experience leading, coaching and developing teams within a procurement environment.Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and disciplines.Benefits of the Senior Category Manager role include:Up to 70,0004,000 travel allowanceUp to 12% pensionPrivate medical insurance
