Aviation Account Executive – General Aviation
Location: London / HybridSalary: Circa 65,000A leading specialist insurance business is looking to appoint an experienced Account Executive to join its General Aviation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aviation insurance professional to manage a diverse portfolio of international clients while gaining exposure to complex and high-value aviation risks.You will work alongside experienced Account Directors and Senior Account Executives, whilst taking ownership of your own portfolio and building strong relationships with clients across the General Aviation market.
The Role
Manage a portfolio of General Aviation clients from initial enquiry through to renewal
Support senior brokers and account executives on complex fleet and aviation programmes
Act as a key point of contact for clients, handling queries and providing a high level of service
Gather underwriting information and instructions from aircraft owners and operators
Liaise with producing brokers and other stakeholders where required
Prepare and issue quotations, policy documentation and related correspondence
Manage and maintain an effective monthly renewal pipeline
Attend client meetings, industry events and exhibitions when required
Ensure all activity is completed in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the wider team's success
Support and mentor junior members of the team where appropriate
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within aviation insurance, general insurance or account management, with a strong interest in developing their career within the specialist aviation market.You should have:Experience managing or supporting insurance client accounts
Strong communication and relationship-management skills
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
A proactive and commercially focused approach
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
A sound understanding of general insurance products and processes
Strong client and stakeholder management skills
A-levels or equivalent education
