Location: Teesside (site-based from June/July 2026)
Contract Type: Contract (Day Rate)
Rate: £400£500 per day (dependent on experience)
Duration: June/July 2026 August 2027 (with pre-mobilisation remote working)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a major EHV underground cabling project in Teesside. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing site operations, subcontractors, and direct labour to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day site operations for EHV cable installation works
Manage cable pulling subcontractors and jointing teams
Supervise site teams and direct labour, ensuring productivity and compliance
Report progress, issues, and performance to senior project leadership
Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, safety, and quality standards
Produce and manage essential project documentation, including:
Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Construction plans and related documentation
Maintain strict adherence to HSE regulations and best practices
Required Experience & Skills
Proven experience as a Construction Manager within high-voltage infrastructure projects
Strong background in EHV underground cabling (400kV and 275kV)
Demonstrated experience managing:
Cable pulling subcontractors
Cable jointing teams
Solid understanding of construction documentation and processes (ITPs, RAMS, etc.)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage site teams effectively and drive performance
Working xwzovoh Arrangements
Pre-mobilisation: Remote working available
From June/July 2026: Full-time site-based role in Teesside
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
