Planning Manager – London
At Dornan we are currently recruiting for Planning Manager to join a major Project in London.
Reporting to the Group Planning Director, the Planning Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Planning and Scheduling on a project including execution of the schedule from commencement to completion of works. In addition, the Planning Manager will be responsible for the establishment & implementation of Dornan's standard Project Controls Procedures & Systems applicable to the project scope, and any client specified planning related deliverables. The Planning Director will provide functional support to the Planning Manager.

Responsibilities:
Managing & leading a team of 2 Planners initially
Ensuring team is structured and roles & responsibilities are clearly defined
Ensure team and individual deadlines are met
Project Planning using ASTA PowerProject
Using Softwares like Excel, Power BI & Bluebeam to producing day to day deliverables
Develop Pre-Construction, Construction and Commissioning Program's as part of the Dornan project team
Ensure Site walks are caried out on a weekly basis to ensure the planner is familiar with the projects progress
Scheduled and ad hoc discussions with all/any project team members around day to day site issues/events
Manage the planning process in terms of developing and managing the project lifecylce in terms of planning & progress, driving the Dornan team to engage
Attend formal and informal project meeting and reviews with all stakeholders, including internal to Dornan, Clients, Suppliers, Service Providers and Subcontractors.
Maintain good relations and facilitate exchange of information between client and Dornan, as well as internally to assure alignment of strategic objectives.
Be an active member in the cross-functional project team, liaising with Commercial Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA, Turnover, and other Functions; identify potential areas of concern and resolve them before they become issues.
