The ideal candidate would have:

  • Previous experience within a building surveying consultancy
  • Strong experience across core building surveying services
  • Experience undertaking building surveys and condition assessments
  • Knowledge of building defects, construction methods and remediation
  • Experience with project management and contract administration
  • Strong report-writing and technical documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • The ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects
  • A commercial mindset and an interest in developing client relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work


Qualifications:

  • MRICS qualification


About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a growing and well-established consultancy, with opportunities across London, Portsmouth, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.


You will provide professional building surveying advice to a range of clients, managing projects from initial instruction through to completion.


Responsibilities will include carrying out detailed building surveys and inspections, preparing condition reports, undertaking schedules of condition and dilapidations, and providing advice on building defects, maintenance and repair.


You will also prepare specifications and schedules of work, manage and administer building projects, produce contract and tender documentation, monitor works on site and manage project budgets and programmes.


The role will involve regular client contact, working closely with contractors, architects, engineers and other consultants, while helping to develop strong long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for further work.
