Role. The investment funds sector sits at the heart of the Cayman Islands’ success as a world leading financial centre. As a funds lawyer here you will get exposure to cutting edge international work of the highest quality, advising open ended and closed ended funds on the full life cycle from formation, financing and regulation, through operation, restructuring and wind-down. It is fast-paced and complex work comparable to that in a top City/International firm, making it ideal for someone with stellar credentials who wants to continue operating at the highest level. It can be demanding, but the team has a good culture, and ambitious lawyers thrive here.


Firm. Major offshore law firm with strong Cayman presence and a global reach.


Level. ExperiencedAssociate – likely to suit applicants with up to 8 or 9 years’ PQE.


Requirements. Admittedin Cayman, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or Hong Kong. Non-Caymanians will need a minimum of 5 years’ PQE (by start date) for work permit reasons. You will have strong experience from a top-tier onshore firm or offshore outfit, ideally including extensive funds work, although corporate lawyers with a genuine desire to move into funds are also encouraged to apply.
