Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver – Temp to Perm Opportunity 📍 Location: Denaby Main, Doncaster 💷 Salary: £14.64 per hour ⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday | Start times between 4am – 5am We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver to join our client’s growing operation on a Temp to Perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering stable weekday work, no weekends, and long-term career prospects. The role will mainly involve driving a Class 2 vehicle, with Class 1 Wagon & Drag work required a few times per month. You will also complete 1–2 nights out per week as part of the regular schedule. ✅ What We Offer a Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver: • £14.64 per hour • Temp to Perm opportunity • Monday to Friday working only • No weekends or Bank Holidays • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays once permanent • Christmas shutdown included (3 days holiday allocation used) • Stable, ongoing work with a reputable company • Average 38–40 hours worked per week (45 hours paid weekly) • Friendly and supportive working environment 📅 Typical Weekly Schedule for a Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver: • Monday – Run to Scotland (night out) • Tuesday – Return run, followed by a trunk to Rotherham • Wednesday – Local deliveries/runs • Thursday – Run to Scotland (night out) • Friday – Return run, followed by a trunk to Rotherham 🔑 Key Responsibilities for a Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver: • Safely complete deliveries and trunking routes in line with schedules • Operate both Class 2 and Class 1 Wagon & Drag vehicles • Complete vehicle checks and relevant paperwork accurately • Ensure compliance with transport legislation, Working Time Directive, and driver hours regulations • Maintain excellent customer service and professionalism at all times • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies 🎯 Experience & Qualifications Needed for a Class 1 Wagon & Drag Driver:: • Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence • Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card • Previous Wagon & Drag experience preferred • No more than 6 penalty points • Good communication and timekeeping skills • Reliable and flexible attitude towards nights out and route changes 📌 Additional Information: • Immediate starts available • Temp to Perm position with long-term prospects • Mainly Class 2 work with occasional Class 1 Wagon & Drag duties • 1–2 nights out per week required If you are a reliable and professional driver looking for a secure Monday to Friday role with excellent long-term benefits, we would love to hear from you. 👉 Apply now to secure your place
