Procurement Manager

This newly created Procurement Manager role will be working within the Public Sector in City of London and you will oversee procurement activity helping the business source goods and services in a clear and organised way. You will manage day-to-day procurement priorities and maintain effective supplier arrangements that support smooth operations.

Description

Manage procurement activity to ensure goods and services are sourced in line with PA23.
Work with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and set clear priorities.
Identify and engage suitable suppliers to support reliable purchasing decisions.
Lead supplier discussions to agree practical terms, pricing and service expectations.
Maintain accurate procurement records to provide clear visibility of purchasing activity.
Review supplier performance and address day-to-day issues to maintain service continuity.
Monitor procurement spend and highlight areas where purchasing processes can be improved.
Support the ongoing development of efficient procurement processes across the business.Profile

A successful 'Procurement Manager' should have:

Experience managing procurement activities from initial requirement through to supplier selection within the Public Sector.
Strong knowledge of supplier sourcing, negotiation and relationship management.
Ability to assess purchasing needs and turn them into clear procurement plans.
Experience monitoring spend and maintaining accurate procurement documentation.
Ability to resolve supplier queries and maintain clear communication throughout the procurement process.
Experience working under PA23 guidelines.Job Offer
