MEP Estimating Manager Leeds Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + car allowance + package Our client is a major national Tier One Building Services Contractor with a strong track record of delivering large-scale MEP projects across the UK. They are now looking to appoint an MEP Estimating Manager for their Leeds office, with a clear preference for a mechanically biased estimator who understands how to price and win major D&B work. The Role This is a key appointment within the pre-construction team, leading the estimating function on large-scale Building Services tenders. The successful candidate will take responsibility for producing commercially robust, mechanically biased estimates on major design and build projects. Key Responsibilities * Lead the preparation of large-scale MEP / Building Services estimates * Take ownership of mechanically biased D&B tenders from enquiry through to handover * Review drawings, specifications and employer’s requirements * Work closely with design, operational and commercial teams during bid stages * Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations * Assess commercial risk, value engineering opportunities and programme implications Requirements * Must come from a Building Services / MEP contracting background * Must be mechanically biased and have operated at least at Senior Mechanical Estimator level * Must have strong D&B estimating experience and be design-aware rather than design-led * Must have tendered for large-scale projects * Must have worked for either a Tier One national contractor or a strong regional independent competing at this level * Must show a stable career history with a proven track record The Opportunity * £60,000 - £70,000 basic salary * Car allowance and full package * Long-term career prospects within a substantial national contractor
