You'll play a key role in supporting learners of all abilities to develop their confidence, skills and achievement in English, from entry level through to advanced study.
What you'll do: Deliver engaging and effective teaching in A Level English Language and English Literature Contribute to teaching across English programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 (including GCSE/Functional Skills where required) Adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learner needs and abilities Support learners to develop confidence, literacy skills and academic achievement Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback Monitor and track learner progress to support success and progression Contribute to high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the provision Work collaboratively with colleagues to support delivery and outcomes What we're looking for: A relevant degree in English or a related subject Experience teaching A Level English (Language and/or Literature) Experience teaching across a range of levels (Level 1–3 / GCSE / Functional Skills desirable) A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to engage and motivate learners with different needs and abilities A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching This is a great opportunity to make a real impact, supporting learners at different stages of their education and helping them achieve their full potential.
