Overview

Morgan Hunt are currently supporting a Public Sector client in their search for Maintenance Quantity Surveyor for an immediate start. Contract position - 6 month - Edinburgh.

Responsibilities

Undertake quantity surveying responsibilities with a particular focus on contractor works.
Carry out additional due diligence checks on contractor quotations and cost proposals.
Review and identify opportunities for savings through analysis of scopes, rates, and methodologies.
Assess scoping issues to ensure works are accurately defined and align with project requirements.
Conduct value for money checks on contractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
Provide assurance on costs and support the delivery of projects within agreed budgets.
Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies.
Support risk management by highlighting potential cost, scope, or compliance concerns.
