Ref554Vacancy typeTax - EmploymentLocationLondonEmployment typeFull-time, Part-timeClosing date07/12/2026DescriptionThe roleWe are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our growing and dynamic team to support with the delivery of employment tax services for a varied portfolio of clients.The work will be varied as the client base of the team is across a diverse range of business sectors across the different offices.The annual employment tax compliance cycle is the key focus of the role, which includes dealing the P11Ds, PSA, STBV and ERS reporting. From working on the compliance cycle, you will be expected to be able to identify advisory opportunities for the team.The responsibilitiesProvide timely and technically accurate advice on employment tax matters, including pay and benefits, employee status and payroll complianceSupport clients with compliance duties such as year-end reporting, due diligence and policy reviewsAssist in supervising and mentoring junior team members, guiding their technical development and ensuring high-quality client deliverables.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment tax legislation and changesYouApplicants should be CTA and/or ACA qualified.The role will suit someone proactive; they should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements. Candidates should be able to market their skills and those of the firm, both on a one-to-one basis and in presentations. They should be innovative with vision, creativity and flair.Candidates will require recent practical experience of running an employment tax compliance portfolio.Whilst technical skills are obviously important, this position also requires a team-orientated and flexible personality, alongside the experience of organising the delivery of tax work, problem solving and the ability to use their own initiative.Reward and benefits A 35-hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per weekExcellent benefits including; contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, Life Assurance cover and great flexible benefits and family friendly policiesEligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan.
