Contract: Permanent | Full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: 111,430 – 148,064 per annum

An excellent opportunity for a Consultant in Acute Medicine to join an established NHS medical team within a modern hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU).
• Manage acute medical admissions, post-take ward rounds and Same Day Emergency Care pathways.
• Support patient flow, early discharge and multidisciplinary working.
• Supervise junior doctors and Advanced Practitioners.
• Contribute to teaching, clinical governance, audit and service development.
• Develop a specialist interest or additional clinical skill, subject to service needs.

Essential Requirements

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent.
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
• GMC Registered or CCT or equivalent accreditation in Acute Medicine or General Internal Medicine .
• Extensive experience in acute medical receiving and general medicine.
• Strong clinical leadership, communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Commitment to teaching, audit, quality improvement and clinical governance.
