This role is centred on software engineering rather than modelling, with a strong emphasis on clean code, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and scalable data processing. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain production-grade Python applications.Build high-throughput data processing pipelines handling large datasets on local server infrastructure.Design and implement robust multithreaded and multiprocessing solutions.Write clean, maintainable code within a TDD environment.Optimise performance across CPU, memory, and I/O intensive workloads.Essential ExperienceStrong commercial Python development experience.Expert knowledge of multithreading, multiprocessing, and concurrency.Proven track record working in a Test-Driven Development environment.Experience building scalable, production-focused systems.Strong understanding of software performance optimisation and clean code principles.Experience working with big data and high-volume processing on localised infrastructure.DesirableExperience with C++ or Rust.Distributed systems or parallel processing experience.Background in scientific, engineering, or industrial software environments.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building reliable, high-performance software and solving complex data and concurrency challenges.
