Key Responsibilities Constructing brick, block, and stone structures to precise specifications and building regulations. Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, site plans, and technical documentation. Measuring, marking, and cutting materials accurately to ensure quality workmanship. Mixing and applying mortar consistently to create strong and visually appealing finishes. Building foundations, cavity walls, retaining walls, extensions, and structural features. Repairing, restoring, and repointing damaged or ageing brickwork. Installing lintels, damp-proof courses, insulation, and reinforcement materials where required. Collaborating with site managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure projects remain on schedule. Conducting quality checks throughout construction to ensure structural integrity and high standards. Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organised manner.
