KeyResponsibilities AnalyticalOperations: Operate,maintain,andtroubleshootHPLC,IC,LC-MS,andLC-MS/MSsystems(includingsingleandtriplequadrupoleinstrumentation). Quality&Compliance: WorkstrictlywithinISO17025frameworkrequirements,ensuringaccurate,reliable,anddefensibleanalyticaldata. MethodDevelopment: Develop,optimise,andvalidateanalyticalmethodsforpesticides,novelcompounds,andemergingenvironmentalcontaminants. TeamSupervision: DirectandsupportAnalystsandExtractionChemists,prioritizingday-to-dayworkloadstomeetstrictturnaround,quality,andproductivitytargets. Troubleshooting: Resolvecomplextechnical,instrumental,andsamplematrixissuesacrossvariouschromatographyworkflows. CommercialDelivery: Maintainawarenessofprojectpriorities,clientturnaroundtimes,andlaboratoryKPIs,assistingwithprospectivetechnicalquerieswhererequired. EssentialSkills&Experience: Degreein Chemistry orarelatedscientificdiscipline(orequivalentlaboratoryexperience). Strong,hands-onexperienceoperatingandmaintaining LC-MS and LC-MS/MS instrumentationwithinanISO17025accreditedenvironment. Deeptechnicalunderstandingofsampleextractiontechniques,chromatographicseparation,and massspectrometry dataevaluation. Proventrackrecordoftraining,mentoring,orsupervisingjunioranalystsandlabstaff. Excellentorganisationalskillswiththeabilitytomanagecompetingprojectdeadlines. DesirableExperience: Experiencedevelopingorvalidating methods forpesticidesoremergingcontaminants. Priorexperiencemanagingsmallprojectworkloadsorsupportingcommercial/client-facingtechnicaldesks. Exposuretoautomatedsamplepreparationsystemsormodernlaboratoryinformatics(LIMS).
