Professional Indemnity Solicitor (Defendant) – Bristol

The highly regarded Professional Indemnity team at this Legal 100 firm is growing again in its Bristol office. This is a great opportunity for a qualified Solicitor who wants to build real depth in their defendant professional indemnity work, while being part of a supportive, down-to-earth team that genuinely invests in your development.

You’ll be joining a team that acts for insurers and professionals on a really interesting mix of high-quality, often complex claims across multiple sectors.

The role:

This is a varied and hands-on position where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be:

•

• Defending professional indemnity claims; including Solicitors, Accountants, Surveyors and those in construction and engineering
• Running a diverse caseload of disputes
• Working closely with insurers on coverage issues under professional indemnity and financial lines policies, including matters with an international angle
• Getting exposure to claims involving financial services professionals
• Assisting on more specialist work involving pensions professionals
• Getting stuck into complex, strategic disputes that sit at the intersection of professional liability, financial services and pensions

Experience required: 

• 
  
• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
• Minimum 3 years' PQE 
• Experience in professional indemnity (defendant experience ideal, but not essential)
