We are supporting a well-established London Market insurance broker in sourcing an experienced Financial Crime / Sanctions specialist to join their compliance function on an interim basis.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring someone who can operate with minimal supervision and provide real-time guidance to the business on complex financial crime matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert across sanctions compliance, supporting the business with advisory queries
• Conduct sanctions screening, investigations, and escalation of complex cases
• Provide guidance on high-risk jurisdictions, counterparties, and transactions
• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the financial crime framework and controls
• Work closely with stakeholders across underwriting, broking, and wider compliance
• Assist with regulatory requirements and internal policy adherence

Requirements

• Proven experience within Financial Crime / Sanctions in the insurance sector
• Strong knowledge of UK, EU, and US sanctions regimes (including OFSI)
• Experience handling complex investigations and advisory work
• Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Prior xwzovoh exposure to the Lloyd’s / London Market is highly desirable

Additional Information

• London-based, hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in the office)
• Initial 4–6 month contract
