A high-achieving secondary school in Haringey is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Physics Teacher to join their well-regarded Science faculty from September 2026. This is a one-year contractual Physics Teacher role on a term-time basis within a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join a thriving department and make an immediate impact.

The Role
As a Physics Teacher, you will deliver well-structured, knowledge-rich lessons across KS3 and KS4, using assessment data to track progress and stretch pupils beyond the specification. You will contribute to departmental planning, support STEM enrichment activities, and build strong, purposeful relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues throughout the contract year.
 
What the School is Looking For
This Physics Teacher position will suit candidates who:

• Hold British QTS through a UK-accredited teacher training programme
• Graduated with a 2:1 or above in Physics or a closely related discipline from a reputable UK university, ideally Russell Group
• Have meaningful classroom experience within a UK secondary school through placements or a substantive post
• Show clear evidence of structured lesson delivery and measurable pupil progress across the Physics curriculum
• Are legally entitled to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available

ECT applicants are welcomed provided formal UK teacher training has been completed.
 
Salary & Contract
This is a one-year term-time contractual role equivalent to the Inner London pay scale. Salaries range from £40,317 (M1) to £62,496 (UPS3), with daily rates ranging from £206.77 to £320.51 inclusive of holiday pay. Placement on the scale is commensurate with experience.
