Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer – SC ClearedActive SC Clearance is required for this position.We're working with a well-established organisation in the Financial Services sector to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join its infrastructure team. You’ll support a large Windows server estate and contribute to infrastructure modernisation and improvement projects.Location: Central LondonWorking Pattern: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsiteTechnology ExperienceWindows Server – Enterprise administration, builds, deployments, maintenance and decommissioning.PowerShell – Scripting and automation for administration and operational tasks.VMware vSphere – Administration of enterprise virtual environments. Hyper-V advantageous.Active Directory – Administration of AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.Server Security – Patching, OS upgrades, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.Infrastructure Support – Troubleshooting business-critical enterprise infrastructure.Desirable: Microsoft Azure, MECM/SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Linux.ResponsibilitiesServer Infrastructure: Build, configure, deploy, maintain and retire Windows servers.Microsoft & Virtualisation: Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and VMware vSphere.Automation & Improvement: Develop PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.Troubleshooting & Security: Resolve infrastructure issues and deliver patching, upgrades, hardening and vulnerability remediation.Projects & Support: Support migrations, upgrades and refreshes; maintain documentation, follow ITIL processes and participate in on-call and out-of-hours work.Apply now to speak with VIQU IT in confidence.
