It’s not a rushed environment, but it does need someone who is organised, calm, and willing to take responsibility. Because this is a small support team, reliability and good communication are particularly important. The contract will end when the current post holder returns from maternity leave, with a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice provided. What the role involves: Providing personal care and practical daily support Supporting with routines, appointments, and day-to-day organisation Assisting with outings and activities where required Light household tasks to help keep things running smoothly Working as part of a small, consistent team What we’re looking for: Someone reliable, dependable, and able to take responsibility for their role A calm and patient approach to day-to-day situations Clear and straightforward communication Willingness to learn and follow routines properly Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Understanding, patience, and a respectful approach when supporting long-term health conditions and mental health needs Comfortable working in a home with cats (we have four) Some flexibility around shifts and occasional outings is helpful Previous care experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is attitude, reliability, and being willing to learn how things are done properly. Training will be provided, and we aim to offer a supportive environment where expectations are clear and where you can settle into the role confidently. A DBS check is required for this role. Important: Due to the nature of the role, which includes personal care, this position is open to female applicants only. This is a genuine occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010.
