Credit Hire Solicitor/CILEX

Your new company A leading international law firm with a market-leading insurance practice is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its specialist Credit Hire team. The team acts for a wide range of insurer and corporate clients, delivering end-to-end dispute resolution across credit hire and motor claims. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and data-led claims strategy, the firm offers an excellent platform for lawyers looking to specialise in this evolving area of litigation. This role goes beyond a traditional claims handling position, offering the opportunity to become involved in strategic decision-making and delivering commercially focused legal solutions. Your new role You will manage your own caseload of litigated credit hire and vehicle damage claims, working within a high-performing team focused on delivering strong outcomes for insurer clients. Your responsibilities will include: Handling a caseload of mixed-value litigated credit hire and motor damage matters (small claims through to multi-track) Managing claims proactively from instruction through to resolution Reviewing liability, indemnity and associated losses (including PI and diminution claims) Delivering high-quality legal advice in line with client service standards and commercial expectations Identifying and managing risk, compliance and procedural issues Acting as a key point of contact for clients and maintaining strong relationships Supporting wider team performance, knowledge sharing and collaboration Contributing to business development and client initiatives What you'll need to succeed Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years recent credit hire experience (within the last 5 years) Experience handling litigated motor claims, ideally with exposure to credit hire Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet performance targets Strong analytical skills and ability to assess evidence and develop legal arguments Good understanding of litigation procedures and court processes Commercial awareness and focus on client outcomes Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive, team-oriented approach What you'll get in return Opportunity to specialise in a fast-moving and technically challenging area of motor litigation Access to high-quality insurer work within a respected national team Clear opportunities for progression and technical development Flexible and fully remote working options Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Supportive and inclusive working culture What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
