We're working with a successful and growing business looking for an experienced Credit Controller to take ownership of outstanding debt, build strong relationships with councils and keep cash flowing in the right direction. What's the role all about? This isn't just about sending statements and chasing overdue invoices. You'll play a key role in managing the company's debtor ledger, with a particular focus on collecting outstanding payments from councils, local authorities and other public sector organisations. You'll need to be comfortable navigating complex payment processes, dealing with multiple stakeholders and understanding why public sector invoices can sometimes take longer than expected to settle. More importantly, you'll know when to be diplomatic, when to be persistent and how to get results without damaging valuable customer relationships.
