Were recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded, food-led restaurant in Oxford for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the senior leadership team.
The ideal candidate will come from either an independent restaurant background or a high-quality branded operation , with a genuine passion for food, wine, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities as Assistant General Manager Support the General Manager with day-to-day operations
Lead service from the floor and maintain exceptional guest experience standards
Train, mentor, and develop supervisors and front-of-house teams
Support wine service and food knowledge training across the team
Ensure smooth coordination between FOH and kitchen during service
Maintain high operational and presentation standards
Assist with rotas, staffing, compliance, and team organisation
What Were Looking For Experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or strong Deputy Manager
Background in independent restaurants or premium branded hospitality
Strong food and wine knowledge
Hands-on xwzovoh leadership style with excellent organisational skills
Ability to train and motivate junior teams
Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
