FIre Alarm Engineer – Sub-Contractor Location: Calderdale Council Area (Halifax & Bradford) Start Date: Beginning of May Rate: £280 – £330 per day  We are seeking an experienced Fire alarm Service Engineer operating on a subcontract (CIS) basis to support a maintenance contract across council-owned buildings within the Calderdale region, including Halifax and Bradford. Work will be carried out across a variety of sites, including social housing, offices, and public buildings. This role suits an engineer who can work independently and is confident across multiple fire alarm systems. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems Service, fault-find, and repair fire alarm systems Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations Complete service reports and documentation accurately Liaise with on-site contacts, including council staff and building managers Work safely within occupied buildingsRequirements Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer (essential) Strong fault-finding skills on fire alarm systems Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. BS 5839) Experience working in commercial/public sector environments Full UK driving licence Own vehicle, tools, and test equipmentWhat’s on Offer £250 – £300 per day (CIS only) 1–2 month contract with early May start Varied work across council buildings Potential for extension depending on workloadIf interested, apply now or call Ashleigh (phone number removed)
