Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor (Chilled Food Production) Location: [PE2 Orton] Salary: £28,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm We are looking for a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our busy chilled food production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong production background who can lead a team, maintain high quality standards, and ensure production targets are achieved in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily production activities within a chilled food production environment.

Lead, motivate, and support production operatives to achieve daily production targets.

Ensure all products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Monitor productivity, minimise downtime, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.

Complete production records and reports accurately.

Conduct daily team briefings and allocate work effectively.

Monitor staffing levels and support training and development of team members.

Work closely with Quality, Technical, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production operations.

Investigate and report production issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the production area.

Essential Requirements Previous experience in a production supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.

Experience working in a chilled food production environment.

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage production teams.

Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Competent with production paperwork and basic computer systems.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations within food manufacturing.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
