I'm a 30-year-old man looking for Personal Assistants to join me in Newark. I'm a full-time wheelchair user, and I'm looking for someone who can support me with everyday life — but this definitely isn't a boring, sit-at-home kind of job! - WHAT YOU COULD BE GETTING UP TO - Coming to wheelchair basketball with me - Heading to the cinema - Shopping and getting out and about - Helping me volunteer at the local food bank - Getting me to the swimming pool for physiotherapy - Chilling at home when that's what I fancy - Helping with personal care and healthcare I'm a big Manchester United fan, enjoy keeping busy and have a good sense of humour.

There's also mycockapoo — so you'll need to be happy around dogs! ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE Could you be the person who helps me get out, get active and make the most of life? This could be the job for you if you want a role where every day can be different, where the work you do genuinely helps someone live a more independent and active life.

Previous care or PA experience is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is: - Reliable and patient - Positive and encouraging - Comfortable helping me overcome challenges - Happy getting out and about - Friendly, approachable and up for a laugh A sense of humour is important — we'll laugh a lot!

Please note, a full UK driving licence is required. You must also have your own vehicle with enough space for my manual wheelchair . Any offer of employment will be conditional pending receipt of satisfactory Right to Work Check.

DETAILS £14.72 per hour, up to 32 hours per week Mileage expenses: 45p per mile (up to 100 miles per week) Flexible hours can be negotiated Weekdays + some weekends Waking overnight shifts once training is complete Full training provided All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
