Ad-Hoc HGV Class 1 Driver Trainer Location: Hayes (Temporary travel to Silvertown required for approximately 4 weeks) Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off Pay Rates: * £19.00 per hour when training/assessing * £18.00 per hour when driving We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver Trainer to support a busy transport operation based in Hayes. This is a varied role combining driver training, assessments and operational driving duties. When not carrying out training and assessments, you will be working as an HGV Class 1 Driver completing collections and other transport duties. The Role: * Conduct driver assessments for new and existing drivers * Deliver driver inductions and refresher training * Provide on-road coaching and mentoring * Complete assessment paperwork and training records * Promote driver compliance and safe driving standards * Carry out Class 1 driving duties when training is not required * Support transport operations as required Requirements: * Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence * Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card * Minimum 3 years' Class 1 driving experience * Previous driver training or assessment experience * Strong understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations and transport compliance * Excellent communication and coaching skills Additional Information: * Based in Hayes * Temporary requirement to work from Silvertown for approximately 4 weeks until the Hayes operating licence is live * 4 on / 4 off shift pattern * There may be occasions where Monday to Friday working is required when conducting a full week of training and assessments * Immediate starts available If you are an experienced Class 1 Driver with a passion for developing and supporting drivers, we'd like to hear from you
