SEN Teaching Assistant Wolverhampton£110-£115 per dayStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-time, long-term temp-to-permLong Term Futures is seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Wolverhampton. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs.This role is ideal for someone who is patient, compassionate, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with Special Educational Needs.About the RoleWorking closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider support team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
- Supporting pupils to access learning both in the classroom and through tailored intervention activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement throughout the school day
- Assisting with the implementation of individual education and behaviour support plans
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and social development using positive strategies
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers and the wider SEN team
- Promoting inclusion and celebrating each pupil's individual achievements
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable
- A good understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a nurturing approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Able to adapt to the individual needs of pupils and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting pupils on a long-term basis
- A genuine passion for helping children and young people thrive
