Kitchen Assistant
to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food service, cleanliness and resident care. The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen and care home team with the day-to-day provision of meals and refreshments for residents. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation and presentation of meals and refreshments Supporting the kitchen team during breakfast, lunch and evening meal services Preparing dining areas and ensuring residents receive meals in a timely manner Washing and cleaning crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times Assisting with stock rotation and putting away deliveries where required Helping to keep the kitchen organised and running efficiently Providing a friendly and respectful service to residents Working closely with care and kitchen colleagues to meet residents' individual needs About You
We are looking for someone who is dependable, approachable and has a genuine interest in working within a care environment. Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, hospitality or care home setting is essential. You will need: Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or food service environment Good awareness of food hygiene and safe working practices A reliable and flexible approach to work Good communication and teamwork skills A friendly and patient manner when interacting with residents The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service – this is essential for the role What My Client Offers
