VNA Operator Pay: £13.74 Location: Birkenhead, CH41 Shifts: 08:00-17:00 Days: Monday-Friday (Early finish Friday) You must have experience operating Very Narrow Aisle Trucks for this position Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient VNA and Counterbalance to join our client based in Birkenhead. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties * Operate counterbalance and VNA forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. * Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. * Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. * Maintain an orderly warehouse environment by stocking shelves and ensuring products are easily accessible. * Perform picking and packing duties for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy in fulfilment. * Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading lorries. * Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols. * Apply mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment as needed. Skills * Previous warehouse experience is essential * A valid, accredited and in-date FLT Counterbalance & VNA license is essential * Knowledge of warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is preferred. * Strong ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. * Experience in stocking, picking & packing, as well as shipping & receiving processes. * Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is beneficial. * Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
