Job Description Machine Shop Team Leader \Contract: Full time, Permanent Benefits: 25 Days Holiday (Christmas Shut Down), 10% Pension Contribution, 5x Death in Service, Sharesave Scheme, Health Cash Plan, Cycle to Work Scheme, Bippit - Financial health Check and Guidance, EAP, Onsite Physio and Massage, Work Wear \At IMI, we are a global specialist engineering company creating breakthrough solutions that help our customers solve today's challenges and prepare for tomorrow's opportunities. \We design, build and service highly engineered products in fluid and motion control applications across Industrial Automation, Process Automation, Climate Control, Life Science & Fluid Control, and Transport. \Innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do. \If you're a strong people leader with a manufacturing background and a passion for operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you. \We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Team Leader to lead one of our shift teams across both our standard and non-standard machine shop operations. \This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery and performance while developing and supporting a highly skilled team. \You'll play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved, continuous improvement initiatives are delivered, and world-class manufacturing standards are maintained. \Shift Pattern: 2 weeks Early Shift \n 2 weeks Late Shift \This shift pattern is a key requirement of the role. \Lead and develop a high-performing machine shop team to deliver safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets. \n Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, COSHH and safe working practices. \n Manage performance, attendance, training and development, building a flexible, multi-skilled workforce. \n Lead investigations, problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis to resolve operational and quality issues. \n Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen and TPM. \n Monitor and improve operational KPIs, implementing actions to enhance performance and efficiency. \n Provide technical machining support and work with Production Engineering to improve processes, tooling and manufacturing methods. \n Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs and best practice across the machine shop. \We're looking for a confident and capable leader who can inspire teams and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. \Proven leadership experience within a CNC machining or manufacturing environment \n Strong understanding of machining processes and production operations \n Experience leading teams across diverse manufacturing activities \n Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies \n Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities \n Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office \n Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements within manufacturing \n Genuine opportunities for professional development and career progression \n Comprehensive benefits package \n Work with skilled colleagues who are passionate about engineering and manufacturing excellence \If you're an experienced manufacturing leader looking for your next challenge and are comfortable working a double day shift pattern (2 weeks earlies / 2 weeks lates), we'd love to hear from you. \Join IMI and help us engineer breakthrough solutions that create lasting impact. \
