Legal Counsel - Commodities

A leading global commodities group is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its Group Legal team in London, supporting the commodity trading and shipping business.

This is a great opportunity for an in-house or private practice lawyer with strong commodities experience to join a high-performing legal team advising on complex, cross-border transactions across a variety of commodities and countries.

The role:

• Provide legal advice to the commodity trading and shipping businesses
• Advise on governance requirements and support stakeholders in navigating them
• Work closely with a team of experienced lawyers within Marketing and the broader Group Legal function
• Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including law firms

What we're looking for:

• Qualified lawyer, common law jurisdiction preferred
• Minimum 6 years PQE, ideally with in-house experience in commodity trading & shipping
• Strong negotiation and drafting experience on cross-border commodity xwzovoh trading agreements
• Familiarity with international legal instruments and trading standards
• Confident operating autonomously in a fast-paced, global sales and trading environment
